تطلق لفظة "المستوطنات" على مناطق التجمعات المدنية الإسرائيلية المبنية على الأراضي التي احتلتها إسرائيل خلال فترة حرب الأيام الستة عام 1967. وتشمل تلك المناطق أجزاء من الضفة الغربية بما فيها القدس الشرقية، قطاع غزة، هضبة الجولان، و جزيرة سيناء. وتعتبر تلك الأراضي أحد أهم العقبات في تقدم عملية السلام منذ 1967 وحتى يومنا هذا.
التدخل الروسي الاخير في سوريا اثار جدلا واسعا في اوساط الباحثين والسياسيين الإسرائيليين حول الاهداف الاستراتيجية، والدوافع التي جعلت روسيا تتدخل عسكريا في سوريا والعمل بها بشكل وقح امام العلن. ويرى بعض المحللين الإسرائيليين بأن انقاذ الاسد هو ليس إلا ذريعة لغاية استراتيجية اكبر، من خلالها تنصب روسيا نفسها كقوة عظمى عالمية. بحسب هذا الرأي، فإن روسيا تسعى لأن تكون لاعب رئيسي في الشرق الأوسط وبالذات في ظل استمرارية ضعف ونفاق السياسة الأمريكية.
This course introduces the students to the nurse's role as an educator by emphasizing principles of teaching and learning. The course will give special attention to the elevation of health awareness of clients as well as changing their attitude and health behaviors within the context of their cultural background. Additionally, learning theories, teaching strategies, and evaluation methods will be explored.

The appropriate handling of the metaphorical meaning during translation, along with maximizing its level of equivalence in the target language, is going to be my central focus through the course of this dissertation. Unlike many contributions that attempt to reconcile the problem of translating metaphor, this study has come to approach the subject from a new perspective. I believe that each of the two overlapping issues regarding effective interpretation, translation and metaphor, necessitates a separate view.
