Selecting the best alternative SOA service bus for C4I systems using multi-criteria decision making technique

A Service Bus is a distributed infrastructure used for enterprise integration. It resolves the problem of connecting heterogeneous C4I systems among various defense forces. The current work focuses on describing a detailed comparative analysis of three SOA service buses; Mule, Fuse and GlassFish for C4I systems using Multi-criteria Decision Making Technique (MCDM). In this paper, the phenomenon of selecting the best alternative is based on two criteria; main criteria and sub-criteria.

Towards a Dynamic and Vigorous SOA ESB for C4I Architecture Framework

An ESB is a middleware that provides services such as message routing and transformation. Further, it has the capabilities to ease the pains of connecting heterogeneous C4I systems among various defense forces. The purpose of this paper is to propose an approach based on criteria for selecting SOA Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) for C4I architecture framework. This assay mechanism is based on two types of criteria such as main criteria and sub-criteria. We used multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) technique for analyzing different SOA Enterprise Service Buses (ESBs).

Identification of a point mutation in the ace1 gene of Therioaphis trifolli maculata from Saudi Arabia and detection of insecticide resistance by a diagnostic PCR-RFLP assay

Aphids are important agricultural pests worldwide. Their control is largely based on chemical insecticides. One species that shows important invasive abilities and hostplant- related differences is Therioaphis trifolii (Monell) (Hemiptera: Aphididae). T. trifolii maculata, also known as spotted alfalfa aphid (SAA), can be very injurious to alfalfa crops in certain regions, such as in Saudi Arabia for effective control it is essential to diagnose and monitor the resistance mechanisms in the SAA populations.

Induction of Antiproliferative Effect by Diosgenin Through P53 Activation, Bcl–2 Down Regulation and Caspase–3 Modulation Activity in Human Colon Cancer (Caco–2) Cells

Previously, a plant steroid, diosgenin, altered cell cycle distribution and induced apoptosis in human osteosarcoma
cell line. The study objective was to investigate if antiproliferative effect of diosgenin was similar for human colon
cancer (Caco-2) cell. Moreover, this work focused on the mitochondrial pathway. Cells were incubated with diosgenin

Anticarcinogenic Activity of Diallyl Disulfide

Garlic (allium sativum) possesses anti-proliferative properties that can be used in anticancer intervention as promising
cancer chemo-preventive constituent. Diallyl disulfide (DADS) is an oil soluble sulfur organic compound. We investigated
DADS inhibitory activity against colon cancer (Caco-2) cells viability or proliferation. Cells were incubated with DADS at
concentrations, 400μM, 500μM, 600μM and 700μM for 72h at 37°C and 5% CO2. DADS effect was dose-dependently.

Ginger Oil Effect as Apoptosis Inducer in Colorectal (Caco-2) Cancer Cell Line

Natural compounds have been used to treat cancer because of their low cytotoxicity and less adverse effects. Ginger has long been used in traditional medicine as it contains active phenolic compounds that have antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, antiangiogenesis and antiartherosclerotic properties. We investigated the inhibitory activity of GO against colon cancer (Caco-2) cells viability or proliferation. Cells were incubated with GO at concentrations, 0.2%, 0.25, 0.3 to 0.35% of the volume of the media for 72 h at 37°C and 5% CO2.

Differentiation and Clinal Trends of ABO and Rh Genes in Select Middle Eastern Countries

An understanding of the ABO and Rh blood group systems is important for blood transfusions and is also pertinent due to their potential association with certain morbidities and susceptibilities to infections. To investigate the diversity and differentiation of the ABO and Rh loci in Middle Eastern populations, data from twelve representative Middle Eastern populations were analyzed. Six populations were in conformity with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium at the ABO locus. The pooled heterozygosity at both loci was calculated to be highest in the sample from Jordan and lowest in Bahrain.
