Basic circuit elements and concepts; Basic laws of circuit theory: Ohm's law, Kirchoff's law; Circuit theorems: superposition principle, Thevenin and Norton theorems; maximum power transfer theorem Techniques of circuit analysis: Nodal and mesh analysis; Sinusoidal sources and the concept of phasor in circuit analysis; Introduction to concept of average, reactive, complex power and power factor.

يهدف هذا المقرر إلى التعرف على المفاهيم الأساسية للمبادئ المالية المطبقة  في منشآت الأعمال ويتضمن ذلك التعرف علي مفهوم هيكل التمويل الأمثل للشركات  ، والتعرف إلي  البيانات المالية لهذه المنشآت وتحليلها التعرف علي طرق و أساليب التحليل المالي  المختلفة من نسب مالية و تحليل أفقي  ، وتأثير طريقة التمويل على ربحية المشروع ، ومعالجة مصادر التمويل طويل الأجل من أسهم عادية وممتازة وسندات وأرباح محتجزة ، وإدارة رأس المال العامل (نقدية – ذمم – مخزون) وقرار التمويل قصير الأجل .

Liquidity Risk Management:A Comparative Study between Saudi and Jordanian Banks

The Relative Efficiency of Saudi Banks: Data Envelopment Analysis Models

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to measure the relative efficiency of banks in Saudi Arabia using a basic DEA models like CCR and BCR. Also, it investigated the determinants of such efficiency in terms of bank size and capitalization. The duration of the measured performance of the Saudi banking sector is (2007-2011). The results indicate that, on a relative scale, Saudi banks were efficient in the management of their financial resources.

Impact of Managerial Factors on Commercial Bank Profitability: Empirical Evidence from Jordan

Abstract: The objective of this paper is to determine the management controllable factors that determine bank’s profitability of the Jordanian commercial banks listed in Amman Stock of Exchange (ASE). For this, the bank-specific variables are derived from the income statements and the balance sheets of commercial banks published in ASE. Excluding Islamic banks, thirteen Jordanian commercial banks listed in ASE since 2000 were selected (91 observations) over the 2005-2011 intervals.

Determinants of Capital Adequacy in the Listed Saudi Banks in Stock Market

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the indicators which directly affect the adequacy of capital of the Saudi banks that listed in The Saudi Stock Exchange market for the period 2007-2011. It was found in this study that, there is a positive correlation relationships among the dependent variable measured by capital adequacy, and liquidity risk, interest risk and return on assets as independent variable.

Measuring Profitability Efficiency of the Saudi National Banks

Abstract: This study attempted basically to measure the profitability efficiency of the Saudi national banks for the period 2006-2010. It is evaluatory in nature, drawing sources of information from secondary data. The profitability efficiency of banks is studied on the basis of financial variables and ratios. Multiple Regression was used to test the effect of independent variables on ROA and operating income (OI), it was found independent variables affect ROA and it does not affect operating income (OI).
