Evidence for persistence and a major range extension of the smooth-coated otter (Lutrogale perspicillata maxwelli; Mustelidae, Carnivora) in Iraq

Abstract. The species IUCN conservation status of smooth-coated otter (Lutrogale perspicillata) is considered
‘Vulnerable’, due to an inferred future population decline caused by habitat loss and sustained exploitation. The
status of the Arabian subspecies (L. p. maxwelli) occurring in the Tigris marshes of Iraq and Iran is uncertain
due to political problems and limited access to this border region in recent years. With this study we could

Bisphenol A Detection in Various Brands of Drinking Bottled Water in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer

Abstract:
 
Purpose: To assess whether bisphenol A contamination occurred in seven brands of bottled drinking water in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Methods: Liquid-liquid extraction (using dichloromethane) was used to analytically extract bisphenol A from drinking water bottles and a gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer was employed for its detection
using a splitless capillary column and helium as the carrier gas.

تقويم أدورا معلمي اللغة العربية في المرحلتين المتوسطة والثانوية لمعالجة ضعف الطلاب في اللغة العربية

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد درجة ضعف طلاب المرحلتين المتوسطة والثانوية في مدينة الرياض في اللغة العربية، وتحديد أهم أدوار معلمي اللغة العربية في المرحلتين المتوسطة والثانوية التي يمكن أن يكون لها أثر في معالجة ضعف الطلاب في اللغة العربية،  ودرجة فعالية تلك الأدوار في معالجة ضعف الطلاب في اللغة العربية من وجهة نظر المعلمين أنفسهم، ومدى ممارسة المعلمين لتلك الأدوار في المرحلتين المتوسطة والثانوية.
