Introduction to Semantics & Pragmatics

Semantics and Pragmatics addresses the multiple dimensions of meaning in natural language. It presents as a first part of the course types of meaning and meaning relations both paradigmatic and syntagmatic ones. In the second part, meaning in natural language is presented through extralinguistic features such as context, inferencing, and speech acting. 

Course Description: This course consists of didactic, pre-clinical and clinical components. It covers the following:
1. Periodontium in health.
2. Etiology, pathogenesis, and diagnosis of periodontal diseases.
3. Principles and techniques of disease prevention therapy.
4. Instrumentation, knowledge and practice of periodontal instruments.
5. Examination, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients with early periodontal diseases.

Thermodynamics (II) is a fundamental course in Mechanical Engineering. The objective of the course is to teach mechanical engineering students an understanding of the physical mechanisms involved in thermal systems. The topics covered include availability; thermodynamic relations; ideal and real gas mixtures; gas vapor mixtures; thermodynamics of reciprocating gas compressors; combustion; air standard cycles.

تقضي الطالبة مدة الدراسة في مختبرات الاحياء الدقيقة بالمستشفيات الجامعية حيث تتمرس الطالبة في طرق فحص العينات وتشخيص الميكروبات الممرضة الموجودة في العينة(بكتيريا-فطريات-فيروسات-طفيليات) مع الاخذ بعين الاعتبار بالطرق التقليدية والطرق الحديثة في التشخيص الميكروبي ، وتقيم الطالبة من حيث المهارة والالتزام والقدرة على التواصل مع الاخرين والدراية بالاساليب المتبعة في المختبرات الطبية بشكل دوري تحددها المشرفات على الطالبات المتدربات.
 

362 حدق  التركيب الدقيق للكائنات الحية الدقيقة   2(1+0+1)
يعتبر المقرر النتيجة النهائية للعمليات الفسيولوجية حيث يستقرئ  التراكيب المختلفة من حيث مكوناتها الكيميائية والوظيفة المناط بها .
يدرس في هذا المقرر التراكيب التالية : العلبة- التراكيب الخيطية والزوائد- الغلاف الخلوي ويشمل الجدار الخلوي- الغشاء الخارجي والغشاء السيتوبلازمي- المورثات و الكروموسومات-البلازميدات الجراثيم- الريبوسومات -الاغشية الحيوية - الكمون في الاحياء الدقيقة.
