The synthetic recycled plastic aggregate for use in concrete is a composite material of recycled plastic having a filler encapsulated in the plastic. The synthetic recycled plastic aggregate includes between 30% and 50% recycled shredded plastic, the balance being filler. The plastic may be linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). The filler can include red sand, fly ash and quarry fines. The synthetic recycled plastic aggregate is best used to make concrete with a water-to-cement ratio of at least 0.5.
Cloud computing offers flexible IT solutions that suites the growingly dynamic organizational demands. Different types of cloud deployment models offer distinctive solutions based on the security requirements of the organization. Hybrid clouds are considered the prominent deployment model that offers the extended flexibility of public cloud resources and the security of private clouds. This paper aims at modelling and evaluating three firewall deployment models for hybrid clouds: no firewall, regular firewalls and special firewalls that block web traffic.
Entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN) are efficient biological pest control agents. Population genetics studies on EPN are seldom known. Therefore, it is of interest to evaluate the significance of molecular sampling method (MSM) for accuracy, time needed, and cost effectiveness over traditional sampling method (TSM). The study was conducted at the Mohican Hills golf course at the state of Ohio where the EPN H. bacteriophora has been monitored for 18 years. The nematode population occupies an area of approximately 3700 m2 with density range from 0.25-2 per gram soil.
