Ophthalmology is an exciting and rapidly advancing field. Our understanding of ocular anatomy, physiology and pathology has increased considerably over the last few decades.
Despite this rapid progress it remains as important as ever to understand how to use both old and new examination techniques to arrive at an accurate diagnosis with the minimum of inconvenience to the patient and the greatest degree of accuracy.
Discussion of abnormal binocular vision lays the foundation for examining dysfunction visual skills, suppression, strabismus, ambylopia, various associated conditions, and oculomotor disorders and how to approach provides specific vision training techniques to reach a good binocular single vision (BSV).
The purpose of this workbook is to provide an
understanding of ophthalmic lenses (spectacle lenses)
and how they are designed to correct vision. In order to
provide this understanding, the essential fundamentals
of physical, geometrical, and visual optics are presented
as they relate to the eye and vision.
The important to know the first line in the optometry clinical examination for any patient which is mainly used as a routine exam for every patient. Also these examination are imporant in the screening clinic to detect any emergency cases
