MIS 354: Enterprise Resource Planning

The course is an introduction of ERP systems; business process mapping and reengineering; metadata; data validity and legal requirements; business processes (e.g. purchasing, manufacturing and HRM) and ERP systems; customization; extension and configuration. In addition, the course in parallel with the lectures, students are required to complete a project in which they will have to prepare the choice and implementation of an ERP system in a company.

MIS 437: Electronic Business

The course introduces the principles and concepts of e-commerce: the types of e-business solutions; planning and design of e-business solutions; e-business solutions in various business sectors; integrated information system, the legal and ethical dimensions of e-business solutions; risk management in e-business solutions; new trends in e-business solutions; cases studies in e-business solutions.

MIS 215: Information System Analysis & Design -I

To provide an appreciation of the problems of the software industry and the models and methods of development used. The student will learn about the early stages of development including techniques used in feasibility, requirements analysis, and systems analysis and design. As well as to develop a more detailed understanding of systems analysis and design within the context of a particular method (Object Oriented Analysis and Design OOAD).
