1- مقدمة إلى قواعد البيانات ( تعريف البيانات والمعلومات , نظم الملفات التقليدية وعيوبها , تعريف قاعدة البيانات , أنواع قواعد البيانات , مزايا قواعد البيانات.
2- الأسس النظرية لقواعد البيانات العلائقية Relational Database:
· عرض لمفاهيم ( حيز المشكلة Problem Space,نموذج البيانات Data Model , مخطط البيانات Database schema ,نظام قاعدة البيانات Database system).
