COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This is the first course offered in Removable Prosthodontics.  It consists of the didactic and practical components concerned with the procedures involved in the construction of both complete and removable partial dentures. The complete denture course is taught in the first semester where the student learns the basic technical aspect of complete denture construction. In the second semester, the course acquaints the students with the principles and sequence of technical procedures involved in the fabrication of removable partial dentures.

Course Description:

It is a clinical course with one clinial hour per week. Its session is mered with the 491 DEN clinics.

Course Objectives: The students should be able to select cases, perform a proper diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan for fixed prosthodontics cases, including simple implant cases. The students should be able to bring together the concepts of removable and fixed prosthodontics for the purpose of providing an integrated prosthodontic patient care.

Course Description:

The course is designed to cover all clinical disciplines in dentistry. It is offered to thefifth year students and consists of one lecture and four clinical sessions per week throughout the academic year.This is a conjoint course by the four dental departments where contributors from alldental disciplines participate in both in the lecture and clinical sessions.A one-week Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course is given by the Collegeof Medicine.

Sensitive parts of the human body to x-rays Dental films, types, composition processing in the dark room in the practical. The students will learn how to expose dental films on patients in dental college.
