Content and objectives:

Writing I ia a pre-intermdiate course designed to introduce students to paragraph structure and organization, i.e., topic sentence, supporting details, and concluding sentence. It is also designed to each students to write cohesive and coherent paragraphs on specific topics, Using language appropriate to each topic. The paragraphs are of the following types: descriptive, narrative,expository, classificatory, and instructional.

تصميم معماري -3 (تصميم بيئي)

يهدف هذا البرنامج الى تصميم مبنى مختار وربطه بالبيئة الطبيعية و المبنية المحيطة بالموقع من خلال تحليل الموقع ودراسة تأثير العناصر البيئية المختلفة على التكوينات المعمارية والفراغ الوظيفي.

يحتوي هذا المقرر على ثلاثة اجزاء:
1- اسس التصميم ثنائية الابعاد: يتم التعريف بعشره مفاهيم اساسية بالتصميم والتي شاع استخدامها بين المعماريين والمخططين كالتكرار والتدرج والاشعاع ونحوها.

2- اسس التصميم ثلاثية الابعاد: يتم التعريف فيها على العديد من المفاهيم كـ المستويات المتتاليه والشبكه الجداريه والمنشور.. الخ.

3- تطبيق مفهوم او أكثر من المفاهيم السابقه على مشروع معماري صغير مختار

PHG434 "Recent Approaches in Medicinal Plants Analyses" (2+2)
The course covers the methods and techniques employed for screening medicinal plants for their bioactive constituents. It also discusses recent developments regarding methods of extrac­tion, isolation, purification and spectroscopic identification of plant bioactive constituents. The following subjects will be covered:

PHG415 "Evidence-based Herbal Medicine" (1+0)
By the end of the course the student should be able to:
- Discuss the current requirements for evidence-based herbal medicine practice.
- Know the clinically relevant pharmacological and toxicological aspects of herbal medicine.
- Know the relevant pharmacopoeial parameters and standards employed for evaluation of herbal medicines individually or in formulations.

PHG322​ "Pharmacognosy II" (2+1)
The aim of the course is to complete the study of the chemical constituents of drugs containing: Glycosides and Alkaloids. The course will study some narcotic plants and toxic plants, especially those present in the Kingdom, aiming to provide students with information about their identification and treatment of their poisoning.  Examples from marine natural products derived drugs will be discussed. The course will also cover the herb-drug Interaction.
