Children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) and auditory discrimination problems provide much greater challenges to user-centered design than more traditional user groups [1, 2]. It is essential to encourage designers, who are often young and more technology-oriented, to develop a relationship with and empathy for, children with SpLDs to account for their needs in the design of interactive systems [2].

Series of diphenyl 1-(arylamino)(pyridin-3-yl)methylphosphonates were obtained in high yields from the reactions of nicotinaldehyde with aromatic amines and triphenylphosphite in the presence of titanium tetrachloride as a catalyst. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by IR, ¹H NMR and mass spectral data and their purities were confirmed by elemental analyses.
