COURSE DESCRIPTION SEQUENCE:
SDS 431 is the first clinical course in fixed Prosthodontics taught in the fourth year. PRE-REQUISITE: SDS 331 COURSE CREDIT: 4 Credit Hours
→ One (1) Credit Hour = One (1) hour lecture weekly for one semester
→ One (1) Credit Hour = Two and one-half (2½) hour lab weekly for one semester
→ Two (2) Credit Hours = Three (3) hour clinical weekly for two semesters PURPOSE:
The course represents the orientation phase to the discipline of fixed prosthodontics (FP). It provides a structured framework for the students to learn the scientific basis and the fundamental principles of FP.
It prepares the student for the practice of sound clinical FP through a patient simulation phase of mechanical and technical procedures.
PHT 593: Advanced Topics in Quality Control of Pharmaceuticals 3 credit hours
This course deals with the most recent advances in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical microbiology and pharmaceutical analysis, with special emphasis on the quality control of pharmaceuticals.
