في صيف العام 1427 هـ ذهبنا أنا وزميلي الدكتور / عبد المنعم عثمان إلى جمهورية نيجيريا الاتحادية لنقيم دورة لتدريب معلمي اللغة العربية في ولاية كانو شمال البلاد بدعوة من حاكمها : مالم إبراهيم شيكرو  وكان المنسق للدورة من قبل حكومة كانو هو وزير الشباب الشيخ : محمد غانبو ، ووزيرة شؤون المرأة  السيدة مريم  ، وبما أن الشيخ غانبو كان حديث عهد بعرس فأناب عنه المدرس بالكلية الشرعية الشيخ : محمد ساني الذي صحبنا في تنقلاتنا وإقامتنا. ولي معه قصة طريفة تجدها في الملف المرفق .
