| 2008 – 2011 PhD in Optimization and System safety University of Technology of Troyes, Laboratory of Industrial Systems Optimization. Thesis Title: Optimization of both transport and packing problems with safety constraints. (Funded by Champagne-Ardenne Regional Council). Supervisors: Nacima Labadie and Alice Yalaoui Brief Synopsis of Research: In this thesis, three extensions of classical combinatorial problems are studied. The first problem is the Vehicle Routing Problem with conflicts which extends the well-known vehicle routing problem by adding incompatibility constraints between customers’ demands. The conflicting demands have to be therefore assigned to different vehicles. The two-dimensional Bin Packing Problem is also generalized by introducing partial conflicts. A safe distance has to be kept between partially conflicting items assigned to the same bin. The third problem studied is an extension of the two Dimensional Loading Vehicle Routing Problem that considers partial conflicts. Two variants of this new problem are introduced: the first is mono-objective and the second one is bi-objective. In the biobjective variant, the criterion of load balancing in terms of occupied area in the vehicle is considered in addition to total cost minimization of the routes. 2005 – 2008 Master’s degree and Engineering degree (with honours) in Industrial Engineering, from Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne, France. Modules included: operations research, optimization tools (exact and approximate methods) scheduling, programming, statistics… Group Project: simulation of a supply chain with Arena software. 2003 – 2005 Preparatory classes to entrance examination for engineering colleges, in Lycée Louis Le Grand, Paris, France Principal modules: Mathematics, Physics and Industrial Sciences. I succeeded to enter Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne. 2003: Obtained Baccalauréat, equivalent to the Higher Leaving Certificate (with honours) High school Bourguiba Tunis, Tunisia. |
