أنزل الله تعالى القرآن الكريم كتاب هداية للناس جميعاً ، وخاتماً لجميع الكتب السماوية ، فهو باق إلى قيام الساعة ، ولذا فمن طبيعته التي أنزل عليها أن تجد فيه البشرية باختلاف لغاتها وأجناسها وثقافاتها الهداية والرشاد ، وتستلهم من هداياته الحلول الناجعة لمشكلاتها العديدة: دينية واجتماعية واقتصادية وأخلاقية ، ومن هنا جاء القرآن بأسلوب وبيان كفيل بإيصال هداياته وحلوله لمشكلات البشرية جمعاء من حين نزوله إلى قيام الساعة.

Developing rainfall intensity–duration–frequency relationship for two regions in Saudi Arabia

Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) relationship of rainfall amounts is one of the most commonly used tools in water resources engineering for planning, design, and operation of water resources projects. The objective of this research is to derive IDF relationship of rainfall at Najran and Hafr Albatin regions in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). These relationships are useful in the design of urban drainage works, e.g. storm sewers, culverts and other hydraulic structures.

Reducing local scour at bridge piers using an upstream subsidiary triangular pillar

The objective of this experimental study was to examine the effect of an upstream subsidiary triangular pillar on the development of local scour at a single circular bridge pier. The triangular pillar was placed such that its apex faced the approach flow and its base length was equal to the pier diameter (D) in all experiments.
