Essential of Health Informatics
I was trained as an engineer and Information scientist but my passion has always been in healthcare. I was among the first Malaysian who has a graduate certificate in Health Informatics, which is known as 10x10 in 2008. 10x10 is a continous medical education to allow professionals to understand and apply Health Informatics in their workplace. When I moved to Saudi Arabia in 2012, we started a collaboration with Professor Hersh, who is the founder of 10x10. To date, we have graduated 100 participants in Saudi Arabia with this certificate. In 2018, we rebranded this certificate to be Saudi Essential of Health Informatics certificate as the first certificate program in the country. We launched the program in November 2018. We now have 20 participants in our certificate program and they will graduate in May 2019.
