كلن 431 - علم الأنزيمات الإكلينيكية

القسم الأول من هذا المقرر يعنى بدراسة آليات عمل الأنزيمات و حركيتها داخل جسم الإنسان و طرق قياس نشاطات و تراكيز هذه الأنزيمات بشكل مجمل. القسم الثاني يستعرض عدداً من الأنزيمات التي يتم قياس مستوياتها في مختبرات الكيمياء الحيوية الإكلينيكية, و التي تساعد في تشخيص الحالات المرضية التي قد تعتري بعض وظائف الجسم و أعضائه مثل الكبد و عضلات القلب و الكلى و البنكرياس و الأمعاء و العظام. 
 
 This course deals with [Part I] the theoretical and practical aspects of the chemical structure, mechanisms of action and kinetics of various enzymes. Design of assay methods are discussed. The use of enzymes as clinical markers of disease related to the liver, myocardium, kidneys, pancreas, intestines and bones are studied with some detail [Part II]. By the end , of this course, students should be able to: I) Understand the chemical specificity of enzyme structure, II) Study the kinetics of an enzymatically catalyzed reaction, III) Set up a biochemical assay of enzyme activity, IV) Analyze data from various serum enzyme measurements and appreciate its use in the differential diagnosis of disease
