Bio:
After failure of establishing a community college in Winnipeg ( www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/residents-concerned-about-school-s-future-1.866425 ), Ahasan initiated a rural development project paired with multiple community services ( www.gramweb.net/village_content/source/social_development_activities.php?id=81&lid=13&mid=11 ). His failure and success never stop him for travelling around and getting knowledge of hardship. In 2001, Ahasan left Finland with Scandinavian memories of loss & gain. In 2002, he has conducted postdoc research training on prolonged sitting dynamics at U_Concordia & École Polytechnique (www.irsst.qc.ca/en/scholarships/recipients/recipient/i/640/n/ahasan-rabiul-2003-640), which was funded by IRSST ( www.irsst.qc.ca/media/magazines/v18_02/27.pdf ). In 2004, he was SafetyNet Chair candidate at Memorial University in St. John's ( http://today.mun.ca/event.php?id=922 ). Later on, Ahasan was summoned for attending as a JUROR at the sittings of Her Majesty's Court of Queens Bench in Manitoba (Canada). As an academic, he taught human factors (HFs) & ergonomics at U_Concordia ( www.concordia.ca ), workplace safety at U_Manitoba, cognitive sciences at UNIMAS ( www.unimas.my ), health sciences at UniSZA ( www.unisza.edu.my ) & BUHS (https://buhs.ac.bd/). For sometime, he was affiliated with Lincoln University in Malaysia and invited for joining as a visiting professor at Monash University in Australia. On the scope of initiating a Biomedical Engineering Program at JUST (www.eduicon.com/News/Details/8504.html), Ahasan was invited as a chief guest. In the past few years, he has focused on HFs issues, and published scientific articles in various journals. In his papers, he has illustrated numerous example of implementing HFs Guidelines & Ergonomic Applications. Ahasan has served on roughly twenty conferences in various countries and workshop program committees, and achieved more than twenty grants for his career research. Currently, he works at KSU's department of industrial engineering ( https://engineering.ksu.edu.sa/en/IE ). Other than teaching undergraduate courses and supervisory of graduate interns, Ahasan is on the Scientific & Accreditation Committee. Whatever the case, he enjoys being a member of diversity. He can be reached at rahasan@ksu.edu.sa
