Summary of the main learning outcomes for students enrolled in the course.
 

  • The student shall be able to properly clerk patients, examine, request the relevant investigations  and  put a treatment plan for the case.
  • To be able to evaluate medically compromised patients.
  • The student shall be able to discuss findings, diagnosis, and treatment plan options with the patient and  family  and must  obtain informed consent to carry the treatment.
  • The shall be familiar with the necessary drugs needed to control the patients' pain and anxiety.
  • Shall be able to write prescriptions, understanding the pharmacology, indication and contraindications  of the used  or to be used by the patient
  • Student  shall have good knowledge of maxillofacial and craniofacial syndromes.
  • Students shall master clinical evaluation for orthognathic patients
  • Students shall master cephalometric tracing for orthognathic patients
  • Students shall master model surgery and surgical splints for orthognathic patients
  • Students shall master surgical predictions on manual and computer software  for orthognathic patients(Dolphin imaging ver.11)
  • Students shall master evaluation and management of distraction osteogenisis  patients
  • Students shall master evaluation and management of maxillofacial reconstruction  patients
  • Students shall master evaluation and management of maxillofacial infections  patients
  • Students shall master evaluation and management of maxillofacial trauma  patients
  • Students shall master evaluation and management of TMJ reconstruction  patients
  • Students shall master evaluation and management of advanced dentoalveolar cases patients
  • Students shall master evaluation and management of CLP  patients
