Research

I am the Head of the 'Information Systems Engineering' Research Group, sponsored by the Deanship of Scientific Research. We recently completed a research project titled 'Intelligent Techniques for Software Development'. It is a joint project between King Saud University, Deekin University (Australia) and Sparx Systems (Australian Software Company). The aim of the project is to develop intelligent software engineering techniques to monitor and improve the quality of software development and to manage the productivity of developers.

My personal research interest is in finding computer-based solutions to support collaboration, coordination and communication within teams. I have applied this particularly in the areas of Global Software Development, Agile Software Development and Crowdsourced Software Engineering. I am also interested to explore it in other areas.
