Dr. Amanullah Fatehmulla is a Professor of Physics and Faculty in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is a member of the renewable energy and environment research group (Thin Films and Solar Cells). He is a member of the Physics Department Council.
He is a member of three different committees in the Physics Department. 1. Member of the Academic Accreditation Committee for Post Graduate Studies, 2. Member of the Laboratory and Safety Committee, and 3. Accreditation and Evaluation Committee of the Physics Program.
He received his PhD from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, in 1992. His research interests include thin-film technology, solar cells, TCO (gas sensors), metal-induced crystallization (MIC) of amorphous silicon, renewable energy and environment, micro and nanostructured materials, nanoparticles, and energy storage devices. He has published over 88 research papers in International journals and conference proceedings. He has presented more than 35 research papers at international conferences and given Eleven invited talks. He has participated in several national and international conferences and workshops. He was a visiting faculty during the summer of 2001 & 2002 (two months each) and worked in the photovoltaic division of the HiDEC/Electrical engineering department, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR 72701, USA. He has been Principal Investigator and co-Investigator for different scientific research projects. He is currently a Co-Investigator for two research projects (NPST and RG). He has been a KSU professor (PI) for an ISPP. As a teaching faculty, he has taught various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He has supervised several undergraduates (BSc} and graduate students (MSc and PhD). Currently, 4 MSc students are under his principal supervision, and 2 MSc students are under Co-supervision. He is the reviewer of several ISI journals. He has reviewed/has been evaluating many PhD and Master Thesis, including scientific project proposals. He has been executing community services as a selection committee member/ subject expert for postgraduate teachers. His biographical record appeared four consecutive times in “Who’s Who in the World” starting in 2011. He is a member of many scientific bodies.
