Biography

Dr. May Alrashed (phD Molecular Genetics), now is an Associate professor, Consultant of molecular Genetics at College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabi. Has been appointed for several administrative positions, Dean of College of Nursing, Dean of college of applied medical sciences. She got her BSc and in MSc in clinical laboratory sciences, Specialist in Molecular Genetics, got her Ph.D. degree from UCL, London, UK. She is a member of Chair of Medical and Molecular Genetics Research, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Alrashed is the co-founder of Zahra breast cancer association that aims to raise the awareness of early detection. Alrashed got the Best Published Research Award for 2015, from Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department, College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud University. Riyadh. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In addition to the Award of Scientific Excellence 2013, Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in London. London, United Kingdom. Currently Dr.Alrashed researches focus on the molecular characterization of genetic disorders using next generation sequencing and in addition to studying the genetic basis ofantibiotic resistant bacteria.
