Introduction to Nursing Science

This course is designed to introduce and explore concepts in nursing, processes in nursing care, and select topics related to promotion of health. Nursing concepts include health and wellness, the health care delivery system, community-based nursing practice, legal principles in nursing, and  ethics. Processes in nursing care encompass critical thinking, nursing process, and communication, patient education, and managing patient care. Caring in nursing practice, cultural diversity, and spiritual health will be examined as each relates to promotion of health.
