Graduation Project:

 2009-2010: ISBG (Interactive Speech Based Games for Autistic children with Asperger Syndrome) is an intelligent system which is devoted to provide appropriate support to autistic children with Asperger Syndrome. The key idea behind this project is to create a multimodal application that integrates speech technology in an attempt to extend user's experience.

Achievements and Awards:

2013: Submitted a winning entry to the University of Pittsburgh International Photo Contest which was 
published in the University of Pittsburgh’s 2013-2014 calendar 
2010: Nominated as the best IT inventor at the College of Computer and Information Science, and 
received the Golden Medal of King Saud University for inventors and innovators 
2010: My invention the Dyslex-Pen was accepted as one of 100 accepted out of 850 submitted inventions 
at the International Exhibition Innovation 2010, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia 
2010: ISBG graduation project was nominated as one of the best Computer Science projects in the 
College of Computer and Information Sciences 
2010: Third place in the field of innovations and inventions (basic science and engineering domain) for 
my innovation Electronic Arm to Alert the Blind in the First Scientific Conference for Students of Higher 
Education in Saudi Arabia 
2009: Second place award for the best research in the computer science field in Students' Research 
Preparatory Symposium for SSC at KSU for a scientific paper entitled: "Open Source Programs a Revolution 
Technology for the Blind in the Arab World" 
2009: Third place in the Enrichment Arab Content's competition, organized by Google Knol. Joint 
scientific article "The Strength of the Web Lies in its Universality", co-authored with Manal Al-Khunaian, 
selected from 7026 articles in various fields of knowledge 

 

Community Service 

2013: Volunteered for Creative Technology Nights, an outreach program for middle school girls and done 
by Women@SCS, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University

2013: Volunteered for Black Girls Code as technical assistant on mobile app development workshop, which is sponsored by University of Pittsburgh and Google Pittsburgh

2010-2012: Worked as part of a team of King Saud University students who organized a yearly campaign to help the poor and their families by providing them the basic needs of food and clothes. 

2009-2010: Worked within a team in one of New Windows Foundation projects of the Students Community of King Saud University.
