Welcome to my website. My name is Aarif H. El-Mubarak, Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Environmental Chemistry. My research interest focuses on persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and their interaction with living organisms at cellular, molecular, organs and whole animal and plants level. Specific interest to Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs), their adverse effects and human health risk. Recently a research was initiated to link air pollution to type-2 diabetes.
Six credit hours will be approved for the student for conducting research and submitting his thesis. (Prerequisite PLPT 595).
