هو مقرر متكامل لطلاب البرنامج التأهيلي في المستوى الأول. ويهدف المقرر لرفع مستوى الطالب إلى المستوى المتوسط، إذ يتم تعريفه وتدريبه على أساسيات اللغة عن طريق إخضاعه لتدريبات مكثفة ومنتظمة في مهارات اللغة الأساسية السماعية والشفوية والكتابية. ويُفترض أن يُصبح الطالب متقناً للمهارات اللغوية بعد الانتهاء من هذا المقرر. كما أن هذا المقرر يتناول مواضيع متعلقة بتجارب الحياة اليومية.
