Welcome to the academic website of Dr. Motiur Rahman, an esteemed researcher and scholar in the field of organic medicinal chemistry. Dr. Rahman, born in Rangpur, Bangladesh in 1977, has achieved remarkable academic milestones, including a BSc (Honors) in Chemistry and an MSc in Organic Chemistry from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He further pursued his passion for scientific exploration by obtaining a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science from the College of Pharmacy at Yeungnam University, Korea. Dr. Rahman's research interests encompass a broad spectrum of topics, including the synthesis and biological activities of natural and synthetic molecules, total synthesis, methodology development for organic reactions, bio-conjugates chemistry, host-guest chemistry, and heterocyclic chemistry. Recently, his research has expanded to encompass the intriguing field of drug metabolism. During his postdoctoral tenure at esteemed institutions such as Yeungnam University, Kyungpook National University, and UiTM Malaysia, Dr. Rahman made significant contributions to the field of organic medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the College of Pharmacy, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Rahman's research work has been published in prestigious journals including ACS Omega, Scientific Reports, JMC, BMC, EJMC, EJOC, Tetrahedron, and Molecules.
