The quntum theory of Angular Momentum operators. The generators of angular momentum operator algebra. Eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of angular momentum operators. The spherical harmonics. Coupling os two angular momenta (orbital angular momentum and spin). Glebsch -Gordan coefficients. Irreducible tensor operators. The Wigner-Eckart theorem.  Time-independent perturbation theory. Degenerate and non-degenerate perturbation theory. Time-dependent perturbation theory. Fermi's golden rule. Introduction to scattering theory. First Born approximation. The scattering cross section. The scattering phase shift in a central potential.
