An IoT framework incorporating MANET

K.N., Shamsi, . 2018

A Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) is defined as a collection of two or more nodes connected with each other using some wireless communication media. The network capabilities enable them to communicate with each other without the need of any centralized server. This allows the wireless nodes to dynamically form an Adhoc network to exchange information without using any existing fixed network infrastructure. It is an autonomous system in which mobile hosts connected by wireless links may simultaneously act as either the nodes or as routers. The main advantages of MANET are robustness, flexibility and mobility. The Internet of Things is the perception and recognition by the ubiquitous information to the physical world. Adhoc provide suitable network environment to the Internet of Things, whose routing protocol protect data transmission efficiently and reliably. This paper analyses the particularity of Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) technology in the Internet of Things. It further presents an IoT framework for business model incorporating the capabilities of MANET along with NFC and RFID technologies.
