ENGT 243 Morphology & Syntax

The course deals with English word formation with a particular focus on the inflectional and derivational rules involved. Students are acquainted with English morphemes and the mechanism whereby they contribute to the structure and composition of English word formation. It also deals in the second part with why we study syntactic structures, including lexical categories, phrasal categories, and phrase structure rules.
