RESEARCH INTEREST AND SKILLS:
I have always been interested in developing behavior change interventions and campaigns, and with the current focus on eHealth and its use in health care, I focused my PhD on a developing a behavior change complex intervention using ehealth tools. My PhD was about the development and use of email and text message prompts to engage users of Type 2 diabetes website intervention. My doctoral research involved various methodologies including the conduction of systematic reviews, mixed method studies (qualitative and quantitative data and analysis methodologies) and online randomized controlled trials. Whilst doing my PhD full time, I was involved with the HeLP-Diabetes team, which was involved the development, evaluation and implementation of a website intervention targeting Type 2 diabetes; my most important role was to work with our patient representatives to develop and maintain the website content and prompts (patient and public involvement). I have also been involved in planning and organizing a series of ehealth knowledge sharing seminar (UCL) and national campaigns (KSU) as well as being invited to speak about ehealth behavior change interventions and ehealth nationally and internationally.
