Aims and goals/ skills

of the course:

1. Perform oral prophylaxis and scaling procedures on patients

having significant periodontal involvement (mild to moderate

cases) and specific age group.

2. Assess the patient, draw out a treatment plan and execute with

the help of her instructor

3. Performing caries  prevention measures topical fluoride

application, pit and fissure sealant on selective patients

4. Polishing of tooth restorations

5. Clinical use of Topical anesthetic agents and local infiltration

under observation

6. Utilization of ultrasonic scaling on specific patients

7. Application of desensitizing agent Dealing with sensitive teeth

8. Patient education on the control of their oral disease

9. Perform dental hygiene care for different patient category with

special needs such as treatment of sensitive teeth or with

Acute periodontal condition

10.Perform bleaching of teeth on selected cases

11.Management of medically compromised patient eg. asthmatic,

Hypertensive patient, diabetic and other medical conduction
