BioInformatics research group (BioInG)

The Bioinformatics Research Group (BioInG) is an active research groups at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, King Saud University. It was established in Fall 2012 by Dr. Ghada Badr, Assistant Professor at the Computer Science department. Since then, the group attracted many students and faculty members to work in this filed and established collaborations with other research institutes through a well-funded projects.

Vision:

Developing world-class scientific research to support commitment to excellence and leadership in bioinformatics.

Mission:

 To initiate a leadership in Bioinformatics research at KSU by providing a rich research environment that encourages distinct scientific outcomes.

To build strong internal and external collaborations between different disciplines and institutions that will stimulate excellence and creativity in the Bioinformatics field.

 To promote the outreach of novel and pioneer contributions of the team to the domain of Bioinformatics, and to facilitate the dissemination of the research group findings to researchers in the local, regional, and international communities.
