I joined the Orthopaedic training program under the supervision of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties in October of 2002.

I completed all the training requirements in orthopaedic surgery in September 2007.

7.   

I successfully passed the final examination in orthopaedic surgery on the 6th of Dec 2007.

8.   

I worked as a registrar/senior registrar at King Khalid University Hospital until October, 2008.

9.   

I joined the Hand and Upper Extremity Clinical fellowship at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, from the 1st of November, 2008 to the 31st of December, 2010.

10.

I completed the Orthopaedic surgery Research fellowship at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, from the 1st of January, 2011 to the 12th of December, 2011.

Non Medical Activities

I have interests in computers and information technology and their applications in surgery and education for a long time. I started working on computers since early 1990s. Most of my information on computers and technology is based on self study. I programmed on several computer languages including C, Basic, Assembly, and most recently, Matlab and Python for scientific computing. I have a special interest in Machine learning and Artificial intelligence and their applications in the medical field, like computer guided surgery, medical image processing and segmentation, and computational medical diagnosis. During my Master's in mechanical engineering, I had the chance to practice my knowledge and experience in the field of biomechanics. Most recently, I completed the pattern recognition and machine learning course at the school of computing at Queen's University as part of my Master's course work.
