Chapter One – It contains study objectives:
In this chapter, researcher discussed and presented study background, importance and defined study problem, its hypothesizes, its objectives and its parameters.
Chapter Two:

It contains Islamic art perspectives derived from Islamic sharia represented by: abstraction, centralization, unity/variety, proportion, repetition and rhythm/movement. The chapter also discussed the cornice element's evolution, development and types (squinches, pendantives, stalactites, etc.) as well as styles of cornices use (corniced arches, column-crowns, domes, mosque manaras, entrances/facades, mehrabs and minbars.  It also examined materials and its relationship with cornices from multiple ways of formation and uses including: plaster of paris, marble, stone, block and wood.

Chapter Three:

It contains building bases of cornice shaping based on the following:

  1. Relationship of cornice shaping system with golden percentage.
  2. Law of symmetry with cornice element.
  3. Repetition and its role in creating art relationship unity with cornice,
  4. Relationship between figure and space in shaping the external form of cornice.
  5. Relationship of "part to all".

The chapter also discussed cornice final techniques and steps for cornice colouring.  The chapter also examined variety of cornice groups formation reflected by artistic elements such as: column-crowns, domes and corniced arches.
Chapter Four:
It contains the aesthetic values of internal cornices with a focus on: crowns, domes, columns and corniced arches based on essential concepts pertaining to: graduation/opposition and symmetry/similarity that granted change, movement and excitement to reflect outstanding artwork.
Finally, the study produced a group of conclusions and recommendations
