Dr. Maha Meshal Abdullah AlRasheed

مختصر السيرة الذاتية
Dr. Maha is an associate professor of pharmacogenomics at the clinical pharmacy department, college of pharmacy, King Saud University. She has a Master’s degree in clinical pharmacy from King Saud University and eventually earned her Ph.D. in pharmacogenomics from the University of Brighton, U.K. Her dissertation entitled “Association of Gene Polymorphisms in Thyroid Function-related Genes with Differentiated Thyroid Cancer Risk and Post Thyroidectomy L-Thyroxine Suppressive Dose Requirements” was primarily addressed to personalized medicine, population genetics, association studies and complex disorders.
Dr. Maha has held several positions, as deputy chair of the clinical pharmacy department at the college of pharmacy at King Saud University, advisor of the vice rector for projects for girls at King Saud University and assistant of the vice rector for projects for girls at King Saud University. Currently she is assigned as Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University Presidents’ advisor.
Dr. Maha has extended her previous work through cooperation as a visiting research associate in the genetics department with scientists and researchers at King Faisal Research Center, and succeeded to address analysis and processing of genetic factors for patients setting that are needed to diagnose, treat, prevent and cure many illnesses.
Dr. Maha’s primary research interests are genetics and pharmacogenomics, family and population genetics; Personalized medicine; Mendelian diseases; Genome sequencing and annotation; and association studies in cardiovascular disease, cancers and endocrinology.
Dr. Maha received many awards from International and local conferences. Dr. Maha has supervised many graduation researches for undergraduate students and many master's and doctoral students in local and International universities such as University College of London and New Castle University in the United Kingdom and Riyadh Elm University and King Saud University in Saudi Arabia.

الدكتورة مها أستاذ مشارك في علم الصيدلة الجينية قسم الصيدلة الإكلينيكية في كلية الصيدلة ، جامعة الملك سعود. حصلت على درجة الماجستير في الصيدلة السريرية من جامعة الملك سعود و درجة الدكتوراه في علم الصيدلة الجينية من جامعة برايتون في المملكة المتحدة، أطروحتها في الدكتوراه بعنوان "علاقة تعدد التحورات الجينية في الجينات المرتبطة بوظائف الغدة الدرقية مع مخاطر سرطان الغدة الدرقية " تُعنى في المقام الأول بالطب الشخصي ، وعلم الوراثة السكانية ، والدراسات الترابطية.
تقلدت الدكتورة مها عدة مناصب ، منها وكيلة قسم الصيدلة الإكلينيكية بكلية الصيدلة بجامعة الملك سعود ، ومستشارة لوكيل الجامعة للمشاريع لشؤون الطالبات بجامعة الملك سعود ، ومساعدة لوكيل الجامعة للمشاريع لشؤون الطالبات في جامعة الملك سعود. حالياً تم تكليفها مستشارةً لمعالي رئيسة جامعة الأميرة نورة بنت عبد الرحمن.
تابعت الدكتورة مها تخصصها و تعاونت مع العلماء والباحثين في مركز الملك فيصل التخصصي للأبحاث كباحث زائر في قسم الوراثة ، و تمكنت من تحليل ومعالجة العوامل الوراثية للمساهمة في تشخيص وعلاج والوقاية من الأمراض الوراثية. اهتماماتها البحثية هي علم الوراثة وعلم الصيدلة الجيني، وراثة العشائر، الطب الشخصي، الأمراض المندلية، التسلسل الجيني وتفاصيله، والدراسات الترابطية في أمراض القلب والأوعية الدموية و أمراض السرطان والغدد الصماء.
حصلت الدكتورة مها على العديد من الجوائز من المؤتمرات الدولية والمحلية، وأشرفت على العديد من أبحاث التخرج لطلبة البكالوريوس والعديد من طلبة الماجستير والدكتوراه في الجامعات المحلية والدولية مثل جامعة كلية لندن وجامعة نيو كاسل في المملكة المتحدة وجامعة رياض العلم وجامعة الملك سعود في المملكة العربية السعودية.
