Dr. Mohammed Almukaynizi (محمد بن باسل المكينزي) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems, College of Computer and Information Sciences at King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, KSA. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Arizona State University in 2019, and a master's degree in Information Systems & Technology from the University of Michigan--Dearborn. His research focuses on artificial intelligence applications to cybersecurity. Dr. Almukaynizi has co-authored a Cambridge University Press book entitled “Exploring Malicious Hacker Communities” as well as a number of research articles published in conferences, journals, and chapters in books. Part of his research has been transformed into inventions that are currently used in commercial software products, including CYR3CON PR1ORITY, CYR3CON F0RECAST, and CYR3CON FUS1ON. CYR3CON PR1ORITY is currently in use by a number of Fortune 500 companies. His invention related to predicting exploits in the wild won a Defense Innovation Challenge award as well as accolades from Cisco, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and the State of Arizona.
