Mashael Suliaman Maashi (M.Sc, PhD)

Bio: 
I am a PhD holder, an academic and a researcher in Computer Science. My main research areas are evolutionary computation, multi-objective optimization, meta-heuristics, intelligent computing and their applications and software engineering. Currently, I am an assistant professor in the Department of Software Engineering, College of Computer and Information Science, King Saud University.

Education

I received the B.Sc. degree in computer Science from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2005, the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science-Technology for Teaching and Learning from Glamorgan University, Wales, United Kingdom in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom in 2014. 

Professional Experience (Academia)

I am currently  working as an assistant professor at Software Engineering department- Collage of Computer and Information Science. From 2014-2017, I worked as an assistant professor in the department of Computer Science, College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Tabuk, Tabuk Saudi Arabia. From 2006 to 2014, I worked as a lecturer at department of Computer Science, College of Computer and Information Technology, Tabuk University. In 2012, I worked as lab demonstrator at School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, England, United Kingdom. From 2006 to 2006.I worked as instructor at Computer Science Instructor, Tabuk Health College for Girls,Ministry of Health,Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

Professional Experience (Technical)

From 2005 – 2006, I worked as IT specialist  at  Information Technology  Services Unit, Khadijah  bint Khuwailid Center(KBK), Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I managed all IT related issues for the KBK Center including developing a businesswomen DB system to generating and updating information of KBK Center members as well as supervising KBK Center website. Also, I was responsible to design printed material for KBK for various events.
