Legal Translation

This course aims to train students on translating highly technical texts in the field of law. Texts are carefully chosen to represent various fields in law.
Learning Outcomes:
upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
 

• Identify different types of legal texts and the features specific to each type.
• Translate specialized legal texts from English into Arabic and vice versa.
• Demonstrate understanding of such documents and the terminology used therein.
• Utilize various resources available for translators.
• Identify legal terminology and expressions and their equivalents in the TL.
