Special Problems in Pharmacognosy (PHG 610)

The course is meant to improve the laboratory skills of the student in preparation for work on the dissertation research project. The student will be assigned one or more laboratory problems involving sole work, bioconversion, semi-synthesis or total synthesis of natural products. The instructor will provide guidance to the student, who would have to submit a detailed interim report in the middle of the semester about the progress made. By the last week of classes, the student should submit the final report and the results obtained, supported by the necessary documentation.
