Eng. 312 Essay Writing

The course aims at enabling students to write longer and well-organized essays of about 500 words.  A calibrated language training in respect of basic rules of grammar is imparted in order to achieve this goal. Students are given graded exercises to learn the mechanics of joining sentences and supporting their points of view by reasoning. In the beginning, topics of descriptive nature are taken up. It is followed by topics of reflective nature. Weekly assignments are given and checked. Students are briefed on their errors and remedial exercises are given.
