Orthognathic surgery for the Orthodontic resident

Objectives of Course:

1. To identify the norms of skeletal structures & soft tissue and differentiate them from those requiring surgical correction.
2. To familiarize the postgraduate resident with the different dentofacial deformities requiring Orthognathic surgery.
3. Establish proper diagnosis and treatment planning of Orthognathic surgical patients.
4. To acquaint the Orthodontic resident with the various surgical methods required for each individual case.
5. To gain knowledge in Orthodontic treatment of patients pre-surgically and post-surgically.
