PhD in Engineering from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, obtained March 2011. Research theme:  "Constrained optimal transport: algorithms and application to image interpolation".

Experiences:
February ~ June 2010: worked at TOPS Systems Corp. (www.topscom.co.jp) (Japanese company specialized in research and development in the field of microprocessors).
Projects involved in:

  • Ultra-Android Project:
    • Deep analysis and architecture-algorithm co-development of Android software platform and its application programs for speed-up, energy-efficient real-time distributed processing on a TOPSTREAM heterogeneous multi-core processor.
    • Testing the design and instruction set simulator of the memory management unit (MMU) of TOPSTREAM heterogeneous multi-core processor.
  • NEDO Project: Deep analysis and architecture-algorithm co-development of H.264 video codec for energy-efficient distributed processing on a 3-D stacked LSI based TOPSTREAM heterogeneous multi-core processor.
