Course Description and Objectives:

This is an upper-intermediate level course in general as well as specific reading skills for students who have passed the Eng. 103 Final exam and who have enrolled in the College of Arts with Arabic as their principal subject. The purpose of this course is to help students build speed and flexibility in their reading and to develop their awareness of the reading process so that they will be able to read in ways that are expected in colleges and businesses. The course is designed to train students in extensive reading skills and in analyzing texts of various genres such as literary, scientific, social and historical, and of various types such as descriptive, narrative and expository.
