Essam Al-Bahkali

التعريف الشخصي:
I got my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with first class of honors from King Saud University in 1993 and joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KSU as a Teaching Assistant, who later sponsored my mission to continue my graduate education. In Fall 1995, I joined the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and I got my master degree in 1997 and my PhD in 2003. Since that time, I am a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KSU. Currently, I am ranked as a full Professor. During the past years, I worked into four different areas at the same time. These areas are: 1. Academia: taught different courses, worked in different academic committees such as student advisors and accreditation. Reviewed and built several engineering programs. 2. Management: worked in different committees as a member and as a leader. I also got training classes in interpersonal, strategic bases, and key skills for effective academic leadership. 3. Research: with interest areas that I like to work on, I have the capabilities to write proposals and convince organizations to raise funds to support my research and projects. 4. Consulting: I have a very good experience through my work with government and industry sectors. I also improved my scale by taking courses in Mastering Management Consulting.
