Mohammed Alhamid

Mohammed F. Alhamid received his Bachelor of Honors degree from the College of Computer and Information Sciences, King Saud University, Riyadh. He received his Master and PhD degrees from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada. He served more than seven years as a research assistant at the Multimedia Research Laboratory (MCRLab), University of Ottawa/ Université d’Ottawa. He is also a research member of the Discover Laboratory.
While in MCRlab, he worked on a variety of projects which include Body Sensor Network (BSN) for monitoring elderly people, activity recognition, ambient intelligent, and recommender systems. During the time of writing his MSc and PhD theses, he taught a number of university courses at the University of Ottawa.
Mohammed also worked at the Internet Service Unit, King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology, working in the Data Security and Network Department. His responsibilities involved maintaining and configuring Cisco routers and switches, Blue Coat Proxy caches, Bluecoat Anti-Virus proxies, and Foundry switches.
He also worked at the Saudi Telecom Company for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project, a part of the Supply Chain System developed using Oracle module. His responsibilities involve designing business data mining plans, forecasting, and report management with business stakeholders.
He also had internship at the Advanced Electronics Company as an application developer.

حصل محمد الحامد على درجة البكالوريوس في العلوم مع مرتبة الشرف من كلية علوم الحاسب والمعلومات، جامعة الملك سعود، الرياض. وحصل على الماجستير والدكتوراه من كلية الهندسة الكهربائية وعلوم الحاسوب من جامعة أوتاوا، أوتاوا، كندا. خدم أكثر من سبع سنوات كمساعد باحث في مختبر الوسائط المتعددة ، وهو أيضا عضو باحث في مختبر الاكتشاف بجامعة أوتاوا.
خلال وقت كتابة أطروحته العلمية للحصول على درجتي الماجستير والدكتوراه، قام بتدريس عددا من المقررات الجامعية في جامعة أوتاوا.
عمل الحامد أيضا في وحدة خدمات الإنترنت، بمدينة الملك عبدالعزيز للعلوم والتكنولوجيا، في قسم أمن البيانات وإدارة الشبكة.
كما عمل في شركة الاتصالات السعودية لمشروع تخطيط موارد المؤسسات أحد أجزاء نظام سلسلة التوريد باستخدام نظم أوراكل. كانت مسؤولياته تنطوي على تصميم خطط البيانات التجارية ، والتنبؤ، وإدارة التقارير.
كما تلقى تدريباً في شركة الإلكترونيات المتقدمة باعتباره مطور تطبيقات حاسوبية.
