“The aim of this course is to develop students’ research competence, research skills and critical judgment in the area of applied medical sciences, to the extent that they are able to master successfully the intellectual challenge and the associated tasks of a Ph.D. program. The course will cover the introduction to experimental design, forming a hypothesis, research methodology, sampling, clinical trials, basic data analysis and research".
This course is designed to introduce the students to basic principles of pharmacology with focus on drugs that are used for the treatment of different conditions related to the cardiovascular, respiratory and neuromuscular systems that a physiotherapist may encounter during the clinical practice. Other classes of medications such as anti-microbial, anticoagulants and anti-cancer will be also discussed.
This course is designed to introduce the students to pharmacology and to the role a dental hygienist plays in clinical settings. It emphasizes the study of therapeutic drugs used in dentistry and drugs that are likely to be prescribed to dental hygiene patients by their physicians. Topics will include drug classifications, indications, contraindications, side effects, metho the of administration and toxicology.
