يعطي هذا المقرر فكرة عن أوضاع جزيرة العرب خلال العصرين الأموي و العباسي الأول ثم يستعرض أوضاع الجزيرة خلال القرنين الثالث والرابع الهجريين، واضمحلال النفوذ العباسي فيها، وحلول النفوذ الفاطمي، ويدرس بعض الإمارات والكيانات السياسية التي ظهرت في جزيرة العرب من فجر الإسلام إلى القرن التاسع للهجرة.
