Solutions to analysis and synthesis problems that may be formulated as flow problems in capacity constrained (or cost constrained) networks. Tools for network flow theory using graph theoretic methods. Applications to communication, and transmission problems.
The aim of this course is to provide the student with the practical experience of the networking simulation. This course uses two network simulators. First, OPNET IT Guru Academic Edition simulation tool is used to provide a virtual environment for a variety of network desirable features such as modelling a network based on specified criteria and analyzing its performance under different scenarios. Second, the open-source ns-3 network simulator is used to simulate different scenarios of wired and wireless network topologies.
